Duh, I could have told you so

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota’s Democratic governor said Wednesday that the Affordable Care Act is “no longer affordable,” a stinging critique from a state leader who strongly embraced the law and proudly proclaimed health reform was working in Minnesota just a few years ago.

When will America wake up? Free markets are the proven working alternative to a command economy. Time and time again, we see market distortion and failure when governmental involvement becomes rooted in any segment of the economy. This result can be seen in higher education where government loans have driven rising tuition and have placed an entire generation into debt serfdom. In similar manner, our alternative energy sector is stuck and noncompetitive due to its suppliers’ and customers’ dependence on government subsidies.

I just wish one of the statist politicians would admit their failure and come over to the free market side.
